Does anyone know the exact TechStream menu flow to disable the automatic seat heater ramp down? My dealership claims they couldn't find anything related to the seats.

I have 2013 GS350 F Sport and just left it at dealer to fix this issue. They have no answer -- tell me that it cannot be reset, even though they gave me a loaner that does keep heated switched to on after every start of car. Go figure. Anyone have any other ideas? Or sequence to override this I can present to dealer?

In Eco mode, the seat heaters are automatically used so the vehicle can decrease the amount of heated air being pushed into the cabin. Apparently, this saves the humpback whales, manatees, spotted owls, et al. Does the mode the vehicle is last in during shutdown affect the behavior on the subsequent startup?

LOL. I had no idea eco mode did that.

My seats always come back on how i left them. Ventilated during the summer and heated for the cold months like now. I just wish the heated steering wheel heated the entire wheel and not just the sides.

I had an early 2013 GS and it didn't keep the vent seats on when I restarted the car. My 2007 GS stayed on and I loved it. I just upgraded to a 2013 GS-Fsport and it does keep them on. I don't know if they updated something in the 18 months I had my other 2013, but I love that it does it now..

Just spoke to a Lexus technology specialist he states his car just turned on with ventilated seats so something is going on...he's going to call me back and see if there's a setting in the nav to program that or to see of they can program that..mine isn't doing it!

My seats stick to the settings. You run the vents full blast, turn it off, come back the next day, they're still on full blast. However, I know ECO mode is a lot more pervasive than you would think. It does everything from remap the transmission to lower the fan blower speed. My car also only remembers Normal or ECO modes after shutting off. It never starts in Sport or Sport+. I was surprised it remembered ECO honestly.

Are we all driving 2013 GS 350 F Sports? That's the first thing we need to determine. Secondly, are we all in Normal driving mode when noticing these things? Leave it out of Eco, eliminate a variable, and let's all compare notes.

Okay I just spoke to the technologist about it..it is something that the tech has to program on the car. So it is possible for a Lexus dealership to do! Having mine done this weekend!

Call him back and ask if he can program the car to remember to stay in drive modes besides Normal and Eco.
