More admiration... just had to share this
I was coming out of a store today and there was a guy in a previous gen Mercedes S Class walking all around my car and studying it. He was giving that look of "Nice. What the hell is this?". We all hear so many comments about the exterior looks not being up to the rest of the car. He was sure drawn in by it. Mercedes S-Class drivers are hardly enthusiasts, so maybe the car has more universal appeal than we think. Just the fact that someone in the top-shelf Mercedes studied it says a lot.

Had a dude in a 2012 760LI stop next to me at a light and noticed him admiring my car. What ensued next was hella questions,,, his last comment was " damn I should have bought that lexus". He actually thought that I had a kit and custom wheels on the car. So yes ,,, he was no enthusiast. He bought a badge for prestige and liked my 60K less vehicle better than his.

That's quite an endorsement. I love the 7 Series, but I don't need something that expensive and big, or something that will ultimately be more unreliable than the Lexus.

Haha, gotta love our GS. I get tons of ppl staring and glancing everytime I pass or drive next to them. It's an great feeling. Damn u guys actually get to drive the cars they drop off to take ur cars to service? The guy doesn't give us the key lol. So we don't get to drive it.

So weird! I certainly didn't buy my GS for "street appeal", but the occasional..."Hey, nice car!", or even a glance in my direction would be nice. I live in Vermont where the big thing is owning a Subaru, (non-official car of Vermont), so maybe they just don't get it???

they see you... this car demands attention. it's certainly not plain looking. i even get sidewalk rubber neckers,,, always, and the car has been on the street since Jan/Feb. alot of people say it's the first time they've seen one.
