Make sure you get OEM glass...not generic. Cost be damned.

they will pay for stress fractures, meaning if the crack originates from the edges, and there is no sign of impact damage. impact damage being a ding or something similar that a ball point pen can get "stuck in".. thats how they "test"

I see you're in TX. We had a severe hailstorm in Dallas a couple of months ago, and lots of vehicles were damaged (including broken windshields). I was lucky because I heard it starting and pulled the car into the garage. Was yours one of the cars with hail damage? Seems odd that a Lexus windshield would just crack under normal circumstances.

And "buy" your installer too. Too many of those "come to your office" sort of glass replacement companies get paid by how quickly they can get the job done. Do your homework.

ahh its 2089.00 for a new windshield without installation because of the heads-up display... Work is being done at the dealer, insurance is paying for it, my deductible is 500
I saw it on sewell a lot cheaper.

I drive freeways in N CA and I am on my 5th windshield. Seems the angle of the 3rd gen GS is conducive to flying rocks cracking the windshield as opposed to just creating a hole. Looks like 4th gen might be the same.
