I found an easier way to tap the foglight. I tap it through the Relay & Fuse box in the engine bay. Tap the fog's wire harness power supply wire to the IGN fuse. So when ur car power up power will be supplied to the fogs. Of coz you still need to connect a switch to turn the fogs ON & OFF. Below are some pics of how I did it. Just need to make a small hole to insert the wire to the Relay & Fuse box.

After installation put back the Relay & Fuse box cover. You can't see the wire going into the box. Very clean look. Just remember to tap the wire to the fuse terminal with no power. Use a test pen to test which side has no power. For mine is the left terminal that has no power. Just wondering if there will be any problem if I tap the fog's power using this method? Any insights & suggestions are most welcome!

Uhh....that looks like an electrical fire waiting to happen.

I would connect the fogs main power to the battery with the fused relay harness that comes with the fog light kits, and then you can tap the relay trigger wire to that fuse. You're adding a lot of load on a 10A fuse that's being used by the ignition.

Dat is why I connect it to the side with no power supply... If anything happens the 10A fuse will blow 1st....

Sorry but if I were to connect it the way you suggested then the fogs will turn on permanently once I power up the car? I can't turn off the fogs right?

does anyone know if those pins are 12V? i've got the harness, but i'm going to run power from the battery. i'm looking to use either of these pins as the relay trigger - ideally, the fog lights will be on anytime the parking lights or head lights are on.

well, i'll answer my own question in case anyone else is wondering.

both of the green wires are 12v. the lighter green wire is the headlight, the more green one is the parking light. you can get to the white harness connector for the headlight assembly by removing the 2 flat head clips in the wheel well (for the passenger side, turn the wheel all the way to the left to give yourself room, remove the clips, then pop the fender liner out so you have room to put your hands back there). its pretty easy to get to once you pop the fender liner out a little.

i originally was going to add a fuse into the fuse-box for power, and then run the relay switch to either the headlight or the parking light wire, but then i ended up just tapping into the parking light wire for everything.

and for the best DIY on fog light installs - this one was the best i've seen on this site (i have no idea why this isn't on the faq - i had to search to find this one): https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...em-switch.html

Once you unplug that pass side headlight connector do you recall the slack you have available to get it out of the wheel well and mess with it and also how much access you have once you remove the gray back panel to access the rear pins?
