F Sport - rear ac controls

F Sport - rear ac controls
I am looking to trade in my 07 GS350 & would like an F sport, but would really like to have the rear ac controls. Anyone care to hazard a guess that if I purchased the controller would it just plug into the existing wiring harness?

Not quite sure how it all works, but it would seem that if you have rear A/C controls, then that is 3 zone climate. Just plugging in controls to a car with 2 zone climate won't work. Or if it does, then you're rear passengers are controlling the driver and passenger side temps, front and back.

Yes, I have the rear A/C controls as part of the Luxury package on my F Sport. You can actually turn off rear A/C via a button on the A/C controls when you have no rear passengers and turn it on if you do. It's pretty cool (no pun intended). Sorry, don't know anything about wiring.

dseag, did you have to special order your vehicle?
I thought in your purchase thread you said you didn't have the controls on the rear center console?

I ordered it for colors/equipment I wanted. I ordered the most comprehensive package that comes with the F Sport. There are no rear a/c controls as such. There are vents behind the console that can be opened or closed. They can also be turned off altogether from a button in the front HVAC system if no one is riding in the back. No actual temp controls for the riders. I don't think that Luxury Package is available with the F Sport.
