went to get my PSI reset and drivers side mirror checked (wouldn't tilt down in reverse) saw a car i'd never seen there on the lot before. went over to take a look. 2013 OB/CAB F-SPORT. found out by the GM that he special ordered it in DEC. it arrived 2 days ago. he was pissed when i said i wanted it. he had to give it up. he'd ordered it for himself.

had to have the OB/CAB. so that's what i did,,, end of story. don't know why it's not letting me copy and paste? will try when i wake up. been at lexus all day,,, from 10:AM till 8:00 PM, picked up wife BTW she loves this one better than the SP. i am beat need sleep.

I always worry when I read posts like this. Not only do dealers love customers like this (fast trade in based on emotions, lose your shirt), but they will say or pitch anything to make a car sound good. It's been used many times before, "oh, that car is almost sold, or it was special ordered by someone but they backed out, now we are stuck with it." Or in your case, "I was going to buy that, but...." All these scenarios are created to make the car feel rare and the customer feel like this is his grand opportunity to purchase before it disappears. Now, if it truly wasn't for sale, it would not have been on the lot where potential customers could see it. I hope I'm wrong.
