Default The first GS450h in Texas

Arrived at last! After the long wait for the release of the hybrid version, here is the very first GS450h in the new body style ever to reach Texas. I'll post a more thorough review after I've had a chance to drive it more, but it is living up to the very high expectations I've had. The black-on-black color scheme goes well with the hybrid stealth theme, as the car echews revving and rumbling noise in favor of stark silence. That said, it definitely handles and performs like the GS350, with the Eco to Sport + dial offering modes similar to the GS350 I test drove two months back.

Hybrid elements aside, here are the options:

Navigation system
Mark Levinson audio
Driver Alertness Monitor / Radar Cruise Control
18" wheels
Plus window tinting at the dealership
(Note that the GS450h includes standard a few extras that are upgrades on the GS350, including a heated steering wheel and the coveted Sport + mode)

Note the rear exhaust--or rather how it's hidden. The black color scheme makes it harder to see how they've hidden it. You'll also note that the headlamps are the same as the GS350. The all-LED version you see in the press photos and on the web site are only available on ones with the Luxury Package, which has not yet become available. Same with the bamboo accents on the steering wheel and shift ****.

I have yet to give the audio system a full test, but what I've heard so far sounds promising.

I never thought I'd look forward so much for the drive to work tomorrow.

Congratulations! Beautiful car. The bamboo is actually growing on me.

Re: giving the sound system a full test, once you do you will be quite impressed. The ML system rocks!

congratz . she's a beauty. i'll hand it to you you're a patient dude. i couldn't have waited that long for a new toy. that hidden exhaust is sexy. i'm driving a CT200H loaner and i know what you mean about the quietness of a hybrid. it's strange not to hear or feel anything when you start the car, and while you're driving. enjoy her,,,, another satisfied customer.

According to all the press photos and even the official Lexus web page here in the UK it shows the GS450h f sport with LED lights but they are not even a option on the f sport only optional on the premium. I spoke to the salesman yesterday concerning this, he told me that the web page is still under construction and there are a few misleading things that need to be put right.
