Hi,
Still learning the ins and outs of my new 4GS . I have an android phone without MAP bluetooth profile so I don't automatically get texts through the GS NAV system.

Any recommendations for apps that will integrate with Lexus and allow me to send texts, have texts, read, etc?

Anybody had any luck with vlingo?

You can root your phone and try other ROMS that may enable the MAP integration that you need. I did that with my EVO 4G successfully, but now I have the HTC EVO LTE and it does have MAP.

Google search "XDA developers" and the forums have tons of info on how to mod your phone.

Which ROM did you have luck with on your EVO 4G?

I was using the ODJDub HD Bliss Rom. I believe the Cyanogen Rom and the MIUI Rom work as well.

I tried CM 7 RC2 and it has the MAP profile. The GS has the message button when I am connected by bluetooth but when I click on the message button I get an error that it cannot dowload the message list.

I will give one of the other ROMs a try.
