Default Wheels

Being a first time buyer of the GS model, should I go with 19" or 20" wheels on a 2013 AWD F Sport?

There are no 20 inch wheels offered.

Only 19" wheels are available from the factory on the F Sport. However, some dealers may offer some 20" accessory wheels..

I realize there are no factory 20" wheels available for the F Sport.
I was speaking of, "after market".
19' or 20"
Which will give me the better ride and the better look?
Thanks

IMHO, I think 20's will be a lot more "sexier" than 19's especially on the 4GS. Just check out Vossen's website. There's lots of photos on 20's and I just don't think it get's any sexier than that. As far as ride quality, there was not much ride difference noted with 19's vs 20's in my previous cars. I think it has a lot more to do with what kind of tires you are planning to put on those wheels which will greatly influence the smoothness or ride quality of the car. ~Tu

I would go with the 19"s unless you don't mind keeping your wallet open.

20's might spoil the ride/handling balance of the GS. The Lexus engineers spent 1000,000 miles fine-tuning the suspension and Toyota CEO himself Akio Toyoda personally test-drove and oversaw the development of the GS in order to come up with the right wheel and suspension combo. In the F-sport, that happens to be 19X8 front/19X9 rear for RWD and 19X8 front and rear for AWD.

The extra unsprung weight of the 20 inch rims might worsen handling and make the ride uncomfortable. Just my 2 cents....

20 inch shoes will probably look sexier. however, you will lose that nice ride quality the 2013 GS has. IMHO i would stick with 19 inch shoes. if you have money to burn and don't mind going to the shop often. then more power to you get the 20s.

I agree but there are some 20's out there that are a lot lighter than the OEM 19's. As some have already found out already, you can have OEM 19's but depending on the rubber, it can still feel choppy or like you are riding on rails with out the right tires.
