A lot of us 3rd gen owners had problems with rattles. Any problems with the new GS?

My 4GS is solid as a bank vault with no rattles like my 3GS did at the beginning of the ownership. I am very impressed.

Smooth as butta! In fact when I have the foot off of the pedal down certain road that are really smooth it feels almost like I'm gliding on ice. It's that awesome

My car is rock solid i have alomost 5000k almost to my first oil change and its no rattles what so ever

I've heard that even the latest Audi a6/7 have rattles often - don't know whether mb or BMW do- but it's quite an accomplishment for lex.

I have a rattle. Door panel, left side. Noticed it two days into it. Took it back to dealer, they held it for several days, and told me they have to order parts (a whole new door panel) from Japan that could take weeks. Only rattles when I hit bumps or on rough asphalt, otherwise quiet.

Passenger side seat belt bangs against the hard plastic interior...drives me nuts.

Haven't experienced that yet ( hope I never do); however, I do hear wind noise coming from the driver side door. Not sure how that can be fixed.

We drove the 3GS when my dad was looking for a new car - and chose not to get it because of the rattles. The salesperson brushed off our question about the rattles - which made us think he either didn't care or it was a relatively common problem. But when I drove the 4GS recently for myself (and bought one), nothing of the sort.

I was surprised by the 3GS rattles as my other experience with Lexus was my '01 IS300, my mom's '00 LX470, and an '00 LS430 I bought for a friend's dad (didn't pay the money, but negotiated price, etc) - and those were all super solid. The 3GS rattles took me by surprise.

If it rattles, then turn the music up louder...... Thats the best solution for a quick fix until you get to where you're going. For crying out loud, its a Lexus not a Bentley/Rolls Royce

I don't know about you, but I hold Lexus to very high standards. Just because im not driving in a RR or bentley doesn't mean that the car should rattle.
