How do you disable the auto-tilt side mirrors on a 2002 sc430

If I remember correctly, while the car is in reverse, you can set the degree and placement of where you want your mirrors to be. After you adjust them, they will go back to that spot every time you reverse (granted you leave the mirror adjuster light on either the left or right mirror).

In the past, everytime I put the car in reverse, both the left and right rear vision wing mirrors dip.
However, lately it no longer auto-dips.
So I pressed one of the left or right rear wing mirror buttons, and made sure that the green light lit up, and the rear wings mirrors certainly auto-dip.

However, here is my problem.
After I turn the engine off, and then restart the engine - that left or right green light is no longer on, and the rear wing mirrors no longer auto-dip.
So all of a sudden, after I start the engine, I must manually press the left or right rear wing mirror buttons to turn the green LED's back on, if I want the wing mirrors to auto-dip; yet I never had to do this manually after each engine startup in the past.
NB. I have not readjusted the seat nor steering wheel at all.

Does anyone know what is going wrong?
Or is there an adjustment for this so that the green wing mirror LED's actually "stay on", like it originally did???
Should I bring the car back to the dealer?

& on top of that, u can save ur adjustments juz the way u save ur seat adjustments! Didn't u guys know that? So all together u can save up to 3 different tilting settings.

So if u r on preset 1 seat position, put into reverse, do the adjustments to ur liking, put back to P, press SET then press 1. Viola!

So if u have the 2nd driver on preset 2 he or she can preset his or her angle of tilt of his or her choice. All he or she needs to do is to do the above adjustments on preset 2. Simple!

Or if you don't want either mirror to tilt when in reverse you can trade for an IS350 F Sport. They don't have that feature.

mine driver side will also tilt in and down. i cant remember if the other side but it definitely will tilt down.

another thing i am puzzled. seems like selecting the the left or the right mirror dont make any difference to the way it tilt? is this true or i am not observant?

there seems to be lots of other features that i am still not aware of. the button next to the rear sunshade up/down switch is actually the on/off switch for the front/back sensor!!! i just realized that today coz i have some how off it a week ago and scratching my head why my front and back sensors are not working!!! it helps as there is lots of narrow spiral multistory car park here.
