It's like watching 2 guys on a date. Very little on the car.

I guess they didn't want to sound like they work for Lexus. Still watching the car performing on that road is quote a testament on how good it is.

I probably will not ever push my GS F Sport that hard, but it is nice to know that it is very capable on demand.

The show's nice an all - but how does the GS compare to other cars? So they showed it going around the Rowena - but without any comparison, how does it compare?

Did it go fast or slow comparatively. It was a fun video, but very little substance IMO.

I have set my DVR. I have to say I am impressed with what I saw in the video. Imagine when they boost the power to 330-340 hp in the near future. The chassis seems like it can handle what it has with no issue

If you want comparisons on handling, here's some that's already been done :

Comparison 1
Motortrend's Six-Cylinder Midsize Luxury Sedan Comparison
1ST PLACE: Lexus GS 350 F Sport
At 3834 pounds, the GS is the lightest of the four and it feels it -- turn-in is sharp and accurate, and weight transfer, whether lateral or longitudinal, is neutral and composed. The Lexus proved the most entertaining, rewarding, and confidence-inspiring up, down, and along our demanding Malibu road loop. Ultimate driving machine? Oh, yeah.

Comparison 2

Comparison 3

http://speedydaddy.com/2013-lexus-gs...from-the-iihs/

Our own Michael Harley has spent plenty of time behind the wheel of the new 2013 Lexus GS 350 F Sport, and the self-confessed BMW fan and current Audi owner says that in the mid-luxury sport sedan segment, the Lexus is the car to get for rousing runs on favorite back roads. Not the 5 Series. Not the A6. The Lexus.
Before you dismiss such statements as the ravings of a lunatic, know that Harley has driven all the really cool stuff for Autoblog. He’s traveled the world and sampled some of the greatest racetracks on the planet while driving some of the best cars ever made. The man races a Porsche Boxster on weekends, and wins. When he told me the Lexus GS 350 F Sport was his pick as the driver’s car in the class, I had no choice but to believe him.

EDIT :

Actually, come to think of it, the fact that they chose a GS350 F-sport to entrust their lives to on a precarious mountain track(with a sheer drop on one side of the road) rather than a 535i or a E350 speaks volumes.

Finally got to watch the episode. Definitely better than TopGear US, (BBC is still best). I think they presented the car well just by driving it and not talking about it. It speaks for itself

Going through the cable remote control the other night and found out there's something called "Lexus On Demand" on Xfinity! They feature this video. Nice review indeed. Thought some might have missed this.

PS: Yardie, was that your car?
