OEM F-Sport tires

The best option size tire is 245/40/19 which will not change speedo more than 1% error and according to tirerack will fit the 19 inch F-sport front and rear rims perfectly on the AWD sedan. There is no chance of rubbing. I am glad as this size gives tons more options of great brand all seasons and performance tires. I do not like the Bridgestone EL400-02 that much but they are still handling well and no issues around town. However on highways they do permit some road noise and choppiness at the recommended pressure. SO i dropped them down to 33/32 psi which helped a lot. I want to get Michelins for the F-Sport as it will transform the car.

I agree, Turanza 400 are the worst rated tire on tire rack. Unfortunately, nothing else is available. I bet all the professional car mag reviews were with the RWD and summer only tire. In reality we would never experience that level of steering feel and cornering that they do on the test track. But, we all still deserve a good traction tire if A/S with a performance bias. The gold standard is the Michelin Pilot plus A/S, and the Pirelli. Both, not available in that size
Had a similar issue with the OEM Michelins on the RL, swapped for the A/S and flew through the snow in Cleveland

Tread wear
In addition stopped by the dealer and the OEM Bridgestone tires have a tread wear of I think 225, and a sticker that the expected tread life for them is less than 15 k miles. It looks like most who have a a F Awd will be in the market for replacement real soon.
Also, it is strange that tirerack categorizes the Bridgestone as touring all season, while the OEM dunlops on the luxury are high performance all season and have a longer tread wear.
I hope Lexus comes out with an alternate tire, if I pull the plug and go F sport them I would need tires every 10 months.
Seems luxury Awd and f Awd are very similar, might make sense to go luxury, and add spoiler, and maybe swap out the grill for the F grill

I agree, the Pilot Sport A/S are very smooth, grippy, quiet, and long lasting. However they are ok in the snow and I want to avoid having to put winter sets on my GS F-Sport and go with the Primacy MXM4 tires with better snow traction. I have driven a car with them and they road very good and has great handling feel to them.

Kssod,
Do you have your F-Sport yet? If so let me know how you are liking these tires. It would be great if we both can get some feedback and whomever gets them replaced first will be able to give the feedback on how the replacements are compared to these Bridgestones El400-02.
