These cars are NOT going to be walking out the door at those low prices. No way.
They are sweet however.

they will have nav and that premium package i bet... but thats best 3k anyone can spend though.

I was at the Lexus VIP event last night for the 2013 GS and the local dealer executive mentioned to me that the lease are going to be amazing on this car due to excellent residuals and money factor rates. That will bring the lease down to where the older GS was without much increase and that is a win-win situation for me as my lease was 650 on a 2006 GS300 awd with 15 k and 0 down.

good to know. but given that the base price of the car hasn't changed (and i assume option prices are somewhat similar), that means the lease price should be about the same anyway?

Rominl,

Yes, with the pricing the same and more options, the car residual will be much better than the outgoing model even when the outgoing model first came to the market. So the leasing will be very similar for a more optioned out car and that is comforting.
