Default 2014 vs 2015 Display and Media?

I'm looking at buying a GS now, and I see some places says the 2015 has a revamped infotainment display. But when I looked at the 2014, it looked the same. Can someone tell me which year they re-vamped it? And What the changes really are? I'm looking at a 2014 f-sport which I like the looks of, and a 2015 non-f sport. Difference, thoughts?

They will look similar but features and functionality were updated. Most folks with experience with both the '15 and pre-'15 system prefer the '15.

Thanks. Good to know! Are the difference significant? I really like the look of the 2014 car better, but I'm sort of a techno-geek and like update systems. Decisions, decisions...

Np....Those threads I posted have a lot of great information from fellow forum members about the key differences (free traffic, free weather, better overall interface, slower load times, new mouse controller, etc.).

In 15 you get the birds eye view, various updates, and traffic and weather are free for life. On 14s you have to pay for a satellite subscription to get traffic/weather.

I'm telling you from experience the 2014 infotainment system is really dated I mean you can't even go full screen on the nav map, no 3D view and the navtraffic from XM is complete junk why because of limited coverage. I can speak on this because I traded me 2014 for a 2016 and it a much better system the HD traffic is on point and you have 3D
view and full screen map. not sure if the 2015 go full screen map though.

Agree 100%

I wish mine was 2015. I didn't research enough before I bought mine and I regret not getting 2015.

Unfortunately, the 2015 still doesn't have full screen maps.

2015 gets traffic and other dynamic info via hd radio, so you don't need an xm subscription.

2015 and 2013-14 radios are not interchangeable, though they appear the same.
