We would have known by now if they felt 450 hp.

More than likely a typo and will carry the same current power output of 340 hp or a bump up to 350 hp..

I can't see the V6 motor with 306 hp plus electric motors, pushing out 450hp.

Many magazine editors in Europe have already driven the pre-production GS450h and none of them mentioned a significant boost in power, so this 450hp thing must be nothing more than a typo.

Maybe the Europeans that drove the car were told not to speak about the power just yet but I also don't think that we'll see anything above 400hp. Would be a nice suprise though

In US, I thought
IS/(GS) 250 means = 206hp (don't have GS 250 in US)
IS/GS 350 means = 306hp

Where does the 250hp come from?
Is that for Europe specific?

Did the Euro tests even ring the car out fully? I thought they were on some local roads and a short autocross track? How would they know what 450hp feels like? If it's a typo, oh well, if it's not that's awesome.

But there's no way the GS250 is going to make 250hp (unless Lexus introduces forced induction to its 2.5L like Infiniti does to the M25), so I bet it's a typo (or a plain made-up figure) as well.
