1, 2, 3, 4.

It's weird to me people are convincing themselves the 4GS is in any way attractive. It's ugly when it's not boring and boring when it's not ugly. Pretty much the most disappointing new car model reveal I've had a stake in. Interior is nice, I'll give it that.

haha that was a pretty good way to show how this poll is looking. I liked the 1IS and 2GS when I was younger! I still want an 1IS or 2GS because of the rear lights. But my parents aren't a fan of buying old used cars so they got the 3GS...which eventually turned into my car after I started taking it to school haha .

so my vote goes 3 2 4 1. I love the front of the 4GS, but the extra long looking side and rear design .

But if I had to vote based on just the appearance from the front I say 4 3 2 1!

Is call the "newer must be better/novelty syndrome", a lot of people suffer that.

I'm surprised so many people rag on the 3GS.
I'm surprised so many people think the 2GS looks better than either car.
I'm surprised so many think the 4GS looks so great.

I like all four GS models.
I never think of one being better looking than the other.

1GS was like the Big Thing back in the day. Only rich people drove them. It was the beginning of something bigger to come.

2GS took it to the Germans. It had weird looking heads and bubble-ish design. At first sight it was kinda unattractive. Then we got used to it and it set trends and broke barriers. Now you can get one for pennies and it's very popular. Better to buy a 2GS than a Civic.

3GS evolved from there. Also didn't like it's looks initially but as I got used to it, the stylishness came through. It's luxury is more apparent than it's sporting nature so many are disappointed. Those of us who mod the sport into it know this car can run when you want but can cruize with the best of them.

The 4GS shows more sport in it's exterior while upgrading the luxury inside. It looks like Lexus may have finally married the sport/luxury themes together. It's not as stylish but many don't want that. They want the chiseled look. We will find out soon but hopefully, it handles really well. Also, hopefully...the second year will have an increase in power. The looks are already growing on me.

They all look good to me. All are special. All have been hated. That tells me it's a worthy line of cars. People only hate when it's something worthy of emotion.

The 2013 GS is a disaster. Gone are the signature quad headlights from the 2GS and 3GS, and the grill looks like a manta ray's mouth. The front should have been a natural evolution of the 3GS similar to how Benz evolved the quad headlights of it's E Class (which is a flawless design in my opinion.)

I didn't even think of that. I wonder why they left the quads? It was our signature thing.

I think you're right. Also, if it was sporting an "H" badge instead of an "L", it would be laughed at for its ridiculous grille... when it wasn't being ignored for its overall blandness.

The 2GS quad headlights stemmed from the 1SC quad headlights. I would guess the 4GS is going back to the 1GS single headlights.

What gets me is that the 4GS slats on the grill are horizontal as oppose to vertical. All previous GS generations had the slats on the grill vertical. I loved that the GS was distingishable compared to the LS...

The 4GS was growing on me everyday, until yesterday. It stopped. Today it looks like a plain sedan with a big mouth.
I know this feeling will change but am surprised it happened. Maybe I'll take another look at the 4GS wheel thread. Stay tuned.

4GS hands down, in terms of pure looks inside and out this generation will be winner and will go head to head with BMW 5 and Mercedes E class.
