Just ordered this sexy beast from California, waiting for them to ship it to me: https://www.carmax.com/cars/lexus/gs-450h/2013/13868911
Anyone know whether the carmax extended warranty program is any good? Alternatively, anyone know where I can buy a lexus platinum extended warranty on the cheap?

I paid for them to transfer it to my location, and will actually complete the purchase after a test drive locally. It is still under factory warranty, and I have checked the carfax and service history on the Lexus Drivers website and have found no issues. I don't forsee any problems, but i want to get the extended warranty just in case.

THought my car came with heated steering since F-Sport, heated and ventilated seats, lots of other options, disappointed to learn that it didnt... one feature I think I would have liked , not having to use gloves

Proud (and happy) new member of the GS350 club. 2016, Caviar exterior, Rioja Red interior (wasn't 100% sold on the red interior before buying, but love it now)--vitals include AWD, F Sport, Nav with ML, Premium Package, Safety Package, all weather mats. I bit the bullet and promptly replaced the stock Turanza EL 400's with Conti EC DWS 06, 245/40/19, so I am ready for whatever weather the Tri-State area throws at me. The Conti's seem great so far.
Really like the caviar exterior--I've had Obsidian before with Lexus, so I was somewhat hesitant about anything in the black family again with Lexus, but the caviar looks better to me and seems more durable and resistant to just general crap that would do the Obsidian in.
Anyway, absolutely loving the GS350 F Sport so far. Drives like a dream, love the interior comfort and tech, and just a fun car to own and drive every day. Many thanks to this great forum for all of the great info.
Oh, and that Smoky Granite Mica GS350 above is stunning! Congrats.

Picked up a '14 Nebula Gray Pearl GS from my local dealer on Friday. Original intent was to just go look at the GS350 to see if I liked it, they made it a deal I couldn't leave without.
Traded in my '12 Subaru 3.6R - which I loved but was burning entirely too much oil for a car with 50k miles.
Prior to that I had an IS300 which is still my one true love and I miss it everyday.
Glad to be back in a Lexus though, the fit and finish of these cars phenomenal.
Probably look at doing a few cosmetic things; tint, coilovers, and wheels.
