It is almost as if the lens used to take those photos had a mild fish eye effect on the car.

OH MY GOD!!!! You guys were so totally right! what was I thinking? they look completely dramatically absurdly and ridiculously different I am sorry, my bad, I apologize for the totally wrong observations

It even got the same front doors, door handles, side mirrors, A-pillars, hood, front fenders........etc etc. Oh I am sorry, the chrome strip on top of the grill is 3 inches longer downward, that is so totally different. Does that signify the $30k more that you paid that now is down the drain? Hence it is downward? LOL

wish lex/toy realized that the edgier styling is what differentiated the GS...IMO they overly softened the concept. reminds me of the highlander commercial where the family goes camping and puts mittens on anything dangerous.

There is family resemblance but the car is more planted and aggressive than the CT.

I still think the 1st gen GS looked the best, but the 2nd gen was the best and did the most for the brand.

The third gen was kind of dissapointment (largely because of the interior). This new one seems to follow the dissapointment trend.

Hopefully the official pics and in-person persepective will change that though.

Sorry - but the exterior is a big let down. I cannot justify paying $50K for a car like this. They should have retained much of the concepts overall proportions and dynamic aggresiveness in the front - it does not look like a premium vehicle. Just a large CT made into a 4 door sedan. However, the side and rear i could probably live with and dont look that bad.

The front is an utter mess-up.

To their credit, the interior is well thought out and designed. Even though it is a copy out of the europeans playbook

They took out "Lexus" badge on latest GS and now putting it on back on? :/
Until I see the official release of this car and other models, the current GS is still nicer IMO.

I am not feeling the new design at all. Looks like a G35 from the side, an IS from the rear, and kind of a mess up front. I am hoping the better pics will make the car look nicer but I am not holding my breath. Then again I remember when I got my 3GS many of the 2 GS guys thought it was a flop design as well. This could all be a little bias, but still not feeling the new lines at all.
