Default 13' GS base vs F-Sport Choice

I currently have a LS430 which I love, and I want to get something different for my daily. I don't plan on selling the LS430 but giving it to my parents when I get something else since its a amazing car. I've been considering a bunch of stuff, I was looking at another BMW but I already have one which is a headache so I want something more reliable. I landed back on Lexus again specifically the GS350 for the size and reliability. I had 2 I was thinking about.

13' Gs 350 Base awd 17k
13' Gs 350 Fsport 25k

Now between the 2 there would be about a 8k price difference, the gs350 has a rebuilt title which is from a seller who sells these types of cars. Would the fsport really be worth the extra money with these price differences in mind? I don't need a rundown either of rebuilt titles, I'm very familiar with them bidding on some of these cars in the past. Does the f-sport add any additional power to the GS, or is it mostly the suspension dampening and the exterior grilles etc?

For 2013, the F Sport package contents are listed below. I'll let you decide whether you think it's worth it or not.

F SPORT
 16-way power sport driver seat (includes power side bolsters, thigh support, four-way lumbar)
 19-inch staggered width split five-spoke wheels with summer tires for RWD, single width with all-season
tires for AWD
 F SPORT tuned Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS)
 Larger front brakes with hi-friction pads
 Rear lip spoiler
 Sport interior (aluminum trim, unique perforated leather trim, and black headliner)
 Sport front bumper and rear lower valence
 Unique mesh grille inserts
 Variable Gear Ratio Steering (VGRS) (RWD only)

Probably, I could always wrap it in aluminum, it wouldn't be that hard.

Thanks, the main thing that I like is the front, I'd have to see how much it would be to convert that off a base model.

You can order the aluminum trim pieces directly from the dealer but they are very pricey (some are over $100 for the dash and door pieces, EACH).

Other members have went the carbon fiber wrapped look as a cheaper (and quite sporty/handsome) finish: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...rior-trim.html

Check out this thread...4GS owners have even gone the route of getting the F-Sport bumper installed on their non-F-sport and using the stock grilles (this is also a great look IMHO):

So I was debating and decided to get the 13 car off ebay. Got it for under 17k, couldn't pass it up. AWD wasn't my preference really but I can live with it. Should hopefully have the car next week, my prized LS430 is going to my mom so she can get rid of her high milage 99 ES300. I'm sure I'll be modding it, I gotta research some of the AWD lowering options. I'm not sure if AWD can be bagged or not, I'm assuming not?

In December, I traded my '06 LS430 with the Custom Luxury package for a new '16 GS 350 with the Luxury Package. I love the GS and loved the LS!!! There are a few features I miss from my LS like the soft door close

I went with the luxury for the interior and upgraded luxury options but liked the look of the F Sport so have the F Sport wheels, OEM spoiler, and bumper being painted now and will install hopefully next week. Also the Lux version has Sport+ mode as well! As long as you're not too concerned with the other performance and interior options for the F Sport then you can easily do the Fake Sport conversion like I am doing and so many others have done!

Yeah for sure. I will probably order that apexi accell. I had a sprint booster in my bmw since almost when I bought it and really liked it. Looks like the apexi is similiar but has ajustable modes which mine did not, so gives almost a step above sport+ in throttle response which I love. Power between the fsport and base seemed the same so it wasn't as much of a big deal. I guess I'll be able to throw the car pretty aggressively in turns too with awd, that should be intresting.
