Default Replacement shocks/struts - 2008 GS 350 RWD

My car has 135K miles - starting to feel bumps on the road especially city driving.
My guess is I should replace shocks and struts.
Don't want anything expensive - just basic good replacement.
Looking at KYB - kybkit1133 - Ebay for $$410.
Comments / ideas / suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Thanks alchemist - you in Nashville?
The KYB set I am looking are brand new on Ebay for $410 - sound like a good deal to you?
Should I consider the Gas-A-Just model?

Actually I did go with the Kyb Gas A Just part numbers...

551108 (rear)
551106
551107

purchased off rock auto for ~$85 each

and go ahead and buy new mounts for each corner as well

Thanks alchemist.
What year is your GS350?
AWD or RWD?
What are mounts?
Who installed yours?

mine is 2007 rwd
Strut mounts are the mounting point of the top part of the strut which attached strut to chassis. One per strut and run about $40 per front corner and $10 per rear. They can also go bad over time so might as well swap too. You change when you hve the strut out.

i do all the work on my car myself.

Did you notice a difference in ride quality. Mine has 100K on the odometer and it feels a bit harsh as well.

Thanks

I have an 2008 gs350 rwd, and I have noticed a pretty bumpy ride especially on the front driver side wheel, getting pretty bad, can I get away with replacing the front two or should I go ahead and do all four? guess I already know the answer to that, but hey I'm cheap. I'm looking at 455.00 before shipping for all four plus mounts from rock auto. Never ordered from them before are they pretty reliable?

Hi, this might be my first post.
I just ordered the struts and mounts from RockAuto. Will try to take pics and post while I attack this job,
It is 2007 GS 350 RWD with with 140K miles. In general it is ok but my tires are wearing out unevenly (inner wear). It is getting really bad as time goes and car gets older. Therefore I think the struts probably are the issue since alignment checks out fine.
Here are the parts list that I ordered.Part NumberPart TypePrice EACore EAQuantityTotal2007 LEXUS GS350 3.5L V6 KYB551107Strut$ 84.79$ 0.001$ 84.79KYB551106Strut$ 84.79$ 0.001$ 84.79KYB551108Strut$ 80.89$ 0.002$ 161.78KYBSM5723Strut Mount$ 56.89$ 0.002$ 113.78KYBSM5597Strut Mount$ 4.88$ 0.002$ 9.76ShippingGround$ 16.98Order Total$ 471.88
The following link has good write up how to change them but it is for GS460.

Ye, that is it. I don't know how much mechanics would charge.
I did all 4 over the weekend. Not easy but doable.
