Default Tire Pressure TPMS

I've the warning that said check system and the tire icon. I believe it is the TPMS that could have gone bad. The dealer quoted me around $230 per TPMS to install & program.
I've asked how much is the labor and the cost, he said that only about $60 is labor and the rest is part. A single TPMS cost that much? In addition, he said that this can only be programmed at the dealer, which i find very doubtful. The kicker is the diagnostic cost around $90 included tax so if I get it change, it will be $230-90 or eat that $90 for nothing. Decision, decision... Thoughts?

Discount Tire changed one of mine for $80 bucks I think. I don't know what other reputable tire shops you have around, but definitely shop around. I know we have smaller shops around Houston that specialize in Toyota/Lexus that charge a lot less than Lexus.

Supposedly tpms sensors last 10 years. If yours are that age or near to it when one fails the rest are soon to follow.Original denso sensors can be had for around 40-50 dollars if you wish to purchase your self.take these to almost any tire shop .they can program,or you can do it if your familiar with Techstream.

There's quite a few discount tires in florida. The sensor itself is only $60 plus any labor charges.. 80-90 bucks tops. They have a scantool tech400+ that scan your sensors to let you know which one is actually bad. With sensors, their typical life span is 7-10 years; so seeing most of the 3gs are 07, it's right around the same time.

I've just had mines done recently and it costed me $250 to do all 4. Usually ask them for a "if i do all 4, can you help me out" deal and they are usually pretty good about it. The technician that did it showed me the process and something to note.. you need to scan them all with the car in acc mode. Plug it into the obd and write the sensors to the car; then once that is done, scan all 4 sensors one more time. The light should go off after that. The original guys that was doing it for me had no idea you needed to scan them one more time once you write the code and it just took the right technician with experience to get it done.
