Default Looking at getting GS300

Hi CL,

I've had a couple GS's in the past, went to a BMW a couple times and now about to get back into the GS world. I have been looking at the GS300 2006, for a couple reasons, a little older, so its a little cheaper, plus will more than likely give this to my son when he turns 16, and I get to get my LS600 then as well! I have read the 350 has more power, larger brakes, and better nav, and it sounds like an IPod hookup factory. I am looking at one with ML and Nav again its a 2006, and would like to have the ability to have movies play on the screen, also have the ability to have Bluetooth for the phone but as well as for music streaming. I am not sure who makes this stuff anymore as it has been several years since owned a Lexus. Eventually adding a screen in the rear as well as I have 4 kids and on long drives this is a life saver. Have it in the suburban and my current 750li (which selling), so would like it here as well if possible.

Can you guys help me with recommendations on this? Is it possible? I searched for gs300 movie playback on screen, I have seen a couple for the audio aspect, from reading but what about both. I saw something about an override, but was not sure what movie plays, from reading it I was getting confused on if it takes the place of the NAV DVD, or if the DVD disc goes into the changer side... Sorry for the NOOB questions just am planning on getting the car this sat, and want to order whats needed asap so I can install it over my 2 week vacation.

It a 06 lowered on coilovers, tint, wheels, white with black interior RWD. for approx. $9k with 130k miles and I have only seen this one with the color combo I like, don't want white with tan, prefer black interior and loaded with ML and NAV....

Thanks in advance

06's have carbon buildup issues that plagues them. Carbon gets built up in the combustion chamber clogging the piston rings allowing the car to smoke and burn oil. Eventually it builds up to the point where the cars performance drops. Also we have been seeing transmission issues on the 06's

I would search for 07-up the money youll save buying an 07 vs the 06's repair costs. Plus the difference is 1-3 grand

But if youre dead set on this particular car, make sure to see if the vehicle history shows the expired carbon build up recall was preformed. Goodluck!

What he said. Steer clear of 2006 gs300. The car is lowered, tinted with wheels is to lure buyers in lol

Go newer, you will not regret it. That "savings" can get eaten up pretty quickly. I bought an 08 after looking at several 06 models.

stay away the 300 model or look for a 430 or perhaps a newer 460.

Save yourself the stress and spend a little more to get the 350.
