I have a 2006 Lexus GS300 AWD with NAV and ML stereo. In the past 3 weeks i have noticed that my front drivers side dash speaker goes out from time to time. I sometimes turn off the car and it comes back and sometimes it doesn't. It works very intermittently and when on the sound is fine but when it goes out and I turn the sound to the front left, I hear very faint garbled noise. When the GPS is on and giving me direction that speakers has always worked even when it doesn't through the radio. Is it the speaker? Head unit? Amp?

Any thoughts or ideas to isolate the culprit would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
