Default Fusible link replacement

Changed alternator on 2007 GS350. Didn't disconnect battery and shorted alternator power wire. Replaced the fusible link and starter relay. All other relays and fuses check ok. Now power steering doesn't work; and all the control buttons in the flip down panel lower left of driver don't work. Mirror controls, dash light rheostat, trip odometer reset, etc. All fuses on drivers side fuse box check ok. Don't know what to check next?? Anyone have a similar problem?

there are other fuse boxes for this vehicle. In the fusible link compartment there are fuses, there is another fuse box under the steering wheel, inside . when I lost my fusible link, it also took out the fuse to the rear amplifier and the fuse to the electronic throttle body.

Default Fusible link and other fuse boxes

Actually, there are 2 boxes under the hood, under each side of the dash, and one in the trunk. I checked EVERY fuse, and didn't find any for the power steering. Also, the little flip down door on the dash, lower left that has a bunch of functions, like trunk opener, fuel door opener, mirror adjustments, and more doesn't work. NONE of those function buttons work now. That and the loss of power steering are the only problems I have now. I can still open the trunk with the remote, so I think the flip down door panel must not be getting power. I couldn't identify any fuses under the hood or anywhere else that look like they would power that panel. I paid $19.95 for an on-line service called "REPAIRSURGE.COM." It is very impressive, and you can open and download almost everything on the car you select. The service is unlimited for a year. Unfortunately, none of the wiring diagrams available cover either the power steering or the drop down box. I've asked their support to assist with the problem. I'll post it if I get an answer.

I have the wiring diagrams for the 2007 GS350, but that would not help you unless you locate the in-vehicle fuse box. You have to contort yourself to locate your head right next to the brake pedal facing the sky. Not a comfortable spot or position, but you will find a covered panel held down with a 10mm screw. There are about 20+ fuses in there. The cover is labeled with the name of each fuse and its size in amps.

There are 2 fuse boxes as you say under the hood, there are even some inside the ECM compartment.

There are 2 fuses going to the steering computer (10A, labelled ECU-B), another 10A labelled ECU-IG. if these are blown, there is no power steering.

Just pull each and every one and check.

Rechecked all fuses with a better multi-meter. Replaced 3. Now EVERYTHING works, except the AC Compressor. blower is fine, but blows warm. There are 3 fuses I could find that said AC: 1 engine compartment B, one in drivers side box and one in passenger side box. All three fuses are good. I subscribed to an online maintenance website, and will look for Compressor power wiring diagram.

There is a 7.5A fuse labeled "A/C Comp" that feeds battery voltage to the "AC Comp relay", and this relay controls the magnetic clutch in the compressor. You have to check if that fuse is intact. If it is, the compressor relay might be hosed.

The ECU-IG fuse (10A) and a "7.5A A/C" control battery voltage to the AC Amplifier, which is the computer that runs your HVAC. Check those
