what would be cool is if our reverse lights could be modded to project these lines onto the road to be picked up by the camera

Bumping this thread to see if any owners with US spec GS models were able to apply REAR TRAJECTORY lines with an aftermarket camera or some other DIY hack? I’m finding myself needing those trajectory lines more and more when parking. Yes, I’m getting old

Yes, the US models do have them. I have the 08 GS350 so, when I first brought mine home and parked, it came on and they were dynamic also, I was able to make them static and turn it off but I was not able activate the feature again. The problem is that Toyota/Lexus have features and specs that they don't advertise hence, that feature is not in the manual and thus not many people know how to turn it on. I completely forgot what I pressed to turn it on and off the first time I brought mine home.

Yes but how to do it is a mystery. I was able to do it... I remember that my battery ran down and the car stayed there for a while. Once I got a new battery in, the trajectory feature never came back on but if the computer has to "sense" it.
Like how it has to re-learn the sensors after the battery runs down and it losses it's settings. You know? The old-drive on the highway for 50 to 70 miles so that it can see all the sensors-trick.
