When the car is on but engine is not running (ignition ON, but engine off) for example by pressing the engine start button twice without pushing brake pedal, the entire dash will light up like Christmas tree. If there are no lights on while engine is running then there is no active DTC, not to say it is not stored.

a p0456 code means you didn't close the gas cap properly, i know it sounds silly but that is the only time i ever got that code with past cars. It should not stall the car and it should go away on its own without reset when you close the cap (or replace if broken) and drive a bit.

So based on the details you provided, there seems to be no reason for the stall, the car is computerized enough to detect a fault and throw some sort of code for most things that would cause a stall so it is really wierd.

you mean you had to push the car to get it started?!
i doubt that made any difference whatsoever other than drain your battery some while you kept all the accessories running. The GS has an automatic transmission, so the torque converter will prevent any input force from turning the engine crankshaft. Pushing will not generate any movement in crank, pistons, and will not power the alternator. All it it does is move it out of the way if you are blocking somebody.

no no sorry didn't word that right. Ive never had a push to start button on a car always a key.

I was in the drive thru when it happen so I had to push the car out of the way into a parking space. because I couldn't get it to start again. I wanted a few mins and then (pushed the start button) and it started fine no problem. got home no issues, I just don't want to end of stalling again but this time in traffic.

are there dos and don't to this whole push start button thing? I have sat idel before in this car maybe not for this long but ive never had a problem.
