Thank you soo much japmand, i really really appreciate it.

Btw do you know what that plug is for and what does it do exactly?

Reason why i ask is bc mine broke and I didn't plug in the wires to the vacuum thing bc i didn't know which color wires goes into which spot....until you just posted it the pic

Also, it makes me wonder if this part is important or not bc when I didn't have it plugged in. I didn't get any check engine light.

I hope you know the answer to what exactly that harness plug is for

Thank you.

No idea - I just had my engine cover off and figured I'd help a brother out.

EGR = exhaust gas recirculation. Basically, the valve controls how much of the exhaust is recirculated for a second pass through the engine. It's used to reduce NOX emissions. That connector probably either controls a solenoid in the EGR system, or transmits info about the solenoid's position to the ECU.

Yeah no worries, glad to help! And sorry bro, I looked and I couldn't find a definitive parts number. Easiest way to find the part would be to go to the dealership parts counter and show your pictures and japmand's pictures to the parts guy (also have your VIN ready) – he'll be able to find the part and order it for you. These clips get brittle from heat stress, so it's not uncommon for them to break.

The solenoid in the picture is your evap purge valve it releases built up fuel pressure in the fuel tank back into the intake. For the connector you may want to look up delphi since they make most of the automotive connectors. http://www.mouser.com/Delphi-Connect...yvsm2aZ1z0yy6b
