Srs light Code 64
One problem after another... After solving my brake issue last night...now my srs light is on. I jumped Tc and Cg to enter diagnostics and the SRS blinks gave me a code 64. Can anyone help identify how to troubleshoot and fix this??

Ah of course, the passenger side pretensioner squib circuit, why didn't you just say that in the first place?
Haha kidding, this is the first I've heard of any squibs being fitted to our cars! However, I would guess that it means that either a switch in the pretensioner squib circuit isn't closing, or a fuse in the circuit went bad. You'll probably need the wiring diagram to get a better idea of where these particular components would be located

Some times when you see an open fault its the wire rubbing thru from the way its routed, i would find the harness and look for any fraying, especially around any bends or behind any tie downs

Haha on a related note, do you by any chance own Italian cars built in the 60s, 70s or 80s?

I assume the pretensioner would be in the front seat outer belt assembly – based on the attached PDF, it looks like you'll find it at the bottom of the B pillar. And don't take this the wrong way, but if you're thinking of replacing it yourself, I must point out that the assembly contains a hazardous quantity of explosive material – I do all the work on my car myself, but this is one of the very few things for which I would take it to the shop/dealer. If you do decide to DIY, please take the old assembly to a professional for deactivation and disposal (I included the second attachment to illustrate why you shouldn't deactivate it yourself, and why it needs to be deactivated by a pro )

Thanks Sodium... I understand srs components can be dangerous. I just want to access the harness, wiggle things around, and reconnect the negative battery terminal to see if it's a loose connection. I think and pray it is. As long as I have battery disconnected for 90 sec, I am safe. I have had the srs light come on and go out on its own before.
Would you by any chance have the Toyota diagnostic procedures for my B0131/64 DTC code? That would be a life saver.

And sorry but I don't – my two day TIS subscription expired last night at midnight. But you can get one at techinfo.toyota.com, it's $15 for 2 days access and you can see all the manuals for every Toyota, Lexus and Scion

Just a quick update... The light turned off 2 weeks ago and has been off since. Funny thing is that it turned off right while driving through a very wet thunder storm!

Well if it comes back when everything dries up, the easiest thing to do would be to move to Seattle, since it rains about 362 days per year up there! North shore Kauai (Hanalei/Princeville area) and eastern Hawaii (Hilo side) also get a lot of rain throughout the year.

I think I'll have to move lol. The light came back up. I disconnected the battery, waited, removed and sprayed electrical contact cleaner to the yellow srs plug underneath the passenger seat. . It seems to be an intermittent issue. Unfortunately light is still on...arrrrrg!

Update: apparently the 64 blink code is a drivers knee airbag circuit issue. It's a very common problem with the IS250 or 350. I did what was written here and the light magically turned off!
