Does anyone have experience with buying a prepainted bumper
Hey guys I'm looking to get a new front bumper and obviously have it painted as well, one of my side tabs is broken so it's not completely flush with the fender and the front of my bumper has just been wrecked with little rock and bug chips, I drive too fast. I was looking at these on eBay, and I know people might not trust it but a couple guys from the 2GS forum had told me they were great, it certainly is a good price, and the seller has tons of sales and an almost perfect satisfaction rating, wondering if anyone knows anyone who's bought one of these?

What it seems like youre buying from this person is an aftermarket bumper cover that gets painted with cheap paint. Certain colors are easy to match and some will flat out look two tone in colors.
My advice is stayaway from aftermarket stuff when it comes to body parts. Many (especially non capa certified) fit like garbage. Or they may fit properly but when you drive at high speeds some ive seen bow in the front from the wind.
You can always have a shop repair your bumper or look on craigslist or car-part.com for a good used OEM bumper. Take it to a decent shop some will charge 150-300 to paint a bumper. This will atleast give you peace of mind that if the colors dont match the shop can redo it!

Had a buddy purchase a painted fender from an eBay seller for his IS300 and the paint wasn't anything near the factory color. Had another buddy get one for his Tahoe and it was a perfect match. Just read some of the sellers reviews and hope for the best!
