Tire recommendations for ride/treadlife ?

factory size = 245/40r18, but I put 225/45r18 on mine. There is less lateral flex and gives it a slight stretch when inflated. Mine are not soft and mushy and handles pretty good
Also, since you are coming from rock hard run flats, regular tires might seem soft and mushy

ibidu1 - Which Michelins to be exact ? And if you dont mind, for perspective, what did you have on before and can you tell me a little about the ride quality on the Michelins.
The GS has a sporty ride and I dont want to loose that. I was hoping for something a little more quiet and a little less stiff but not be mushy.

I had the Pirelli P7 AS Plus installed yesteday, coming from the Bridgestone Serenity. These Pirelli's are much quieter than the Bridgestone when new. The sidewalls are slightly firmer than what i expected and far from mushy, but it's a nice ride.
They handle well so far, but i I haven't pushing them since they're so new. We had a rain storm today, and the grip was excellent, even on slightly aggressive accelerations.
