First post go easy iv just become a proud owner of a gs450h 2006. So far i love it. Just one thing i wanna clear up for peice of mind. It is a cvt gearbox and when i floor it there is a brief pause in power at 70mph ish. Then it flys full power the kw gauge goes all way but alot faster than the acceleration previous to the flat spot. Its like it changes gear at 70 and hits a massive powerband but id like that to be instant and sooner. Is this normal or do i have a problem. Hybrid passed all tests last week at lexus. Thanks matt

Be sure to fill with Premium Fuel and check on the response again.

Thanks. It crossed my mind that did as i only use standard unleaded but as it only happens at 70mph everytime and then shoots off like a bullet so i assumed it cant possibly be the fuel but i will convert to premium from now on. Really annoying during an overtake

First I would check the wheels you may have a bent rim or not balanced, also check to see if the tires tread is choppy.

Replacing spark plugs, doing a top engine clean and cleaning the throttle body also helps.
