Anyone buy one recently?

They let me have the car for several days before I signed on to buy it. I paid their asking price. It was well below comparable cars elsewhere and thousands below any other L Certified car I found in my searches. And new tires, and new brakes, yada yada.
Honestly I feel that I got a bargain. There was only one other car that interested me and compared in perceived value, and it would have been a situation like yours - a long drive just to see the car.

Last month I just picked up a 2008 Black GS350; its been my dream car ever since it came out in 2006- One owner-trade, 57k, $15k- -I work at a stealership so I got employee discount 500 over "cost".

Thanks! I'm pleased so far, but then I've only had it for a few hours.

Update on my 2008 GS350 AWD with 95K miles. Bought last Monday. Had Lexus do trans flush, coolant flush, rear diff drain and fill. Four wheel alignment and full inspection.
There report: "You bought a great car there mister!"
I am half-way through my own detailing. I replaced the air filter and will change the oil this weekend. My take on the car, is that I LOVE it.
PS-also bought new floor mats as the old ones had 8 years on them. It did come with Weathertechs for the winter time. I also have to locate a second remote, as it only came with one.
I will post pictures once it stops raining here (if ever).

Not so recently.
I bought mine last July so it's been awhile but wanted to chime in as the question was how much to negotiate. I bought a 2009 Lexus CPO GS350 with 32,000 miles. Clean carfax, one owner car. Comes with 2 year complimentary maintenance through Lexus. Has all the options other than the ML. Asking price was $25500 and they offered me $7700 for my trade, a 2004 ES330.
My final offer was $8000 for my trade and offered them 24000 for the GS (5% less of the asking price). Plus there was some rim rash on all 4 wheels and a little scratch on the rear bumper that I asked them to fix for free, which they were asking $600 to fix.
In hind sight, I should have started with 10% below asking but oh well.
Hope this helps.

A little late to this thread but I just bought an '11 from a Lexus dealership in northern Indiana 3 months ago. Their starting price was $22,900 and I watched it for almost a month until it dropped to $19k. Bought, serviced and traded in at this dealer so all records came with the car. Had 75k miles and looks brand new...still had some of its new car smell. Was nerve racking being out of state blindly purchasing a car but it all worked out.
