Default 2007 gs 350 in cleveland

The roads in Cleveland and throughout Ohio are AWFUL! Potholes, bumps, and chopped asphalt everywhere! I've been here for a little over 6 months and now I have to get new rear shocks.

I know very little about cars and parts, etc. All I know is that I want my smooth ride back! Is there a really good after market package that anyone can suggest? (Lexus brand or whatever-- not picky, just need it to handle Ohio craters).

I could just trade her in-- but I only have less than 135k miles on the odometer and I love her. She is in almost perfect condition, cosmetically.

I need her to ride like she did in Florida! Any suggestions?

KYB aftermarket shocks are the same as the oem shocks.

I would replace all the bushings on the vehicle aswell and get it aligned. Should ride like new again!

Surely someone has been through something like this and knows what I am asking. Someone? Anyone?

Memorize your daily commute and avoid potholes

What's your wheel/tire combo?

Thanks for responding. Is there a such thing as shocks thar are better than OEM for the car?

I don't know how to answer this but my car is in the shop with major issues now. If I can get over the major issues without spending multiplied thousands, then I'll do something about the shocks.

Replace the struts and try different tires. If its still too harsh, the GS might not be the right car for the ride quality you're looking for.

My rear shock was blown around 120k, new struts would probably do the trick. If not there is always air ride

Are you wheels and tires stock or aftermarket?

I live in Northeast Ohio and your tires make the biggest difference in navigating some of the rougher areas. The stock setup is good as it is, so if you haven't changed your wheels/tires then address any worn out suspension items and you'll be fine for another 100k.
If you do go with aftermarket wheels and tires, you better have at least a 45 series tire. 50 would give you the best compromise between size and sidewall but some people can't deal with that look.
