Front brake pads directional or doesn't matter??
recently replaced my pads with OEM, the pads didn't distinguish which is outside/inside. Does anyone know if this matters? The first picture is drivers side, second is passenger. (notice the metal prong on the one pad and top/bottom gaps between rotor). Thanks

If both sides of the pad are chamfered on both sides (angled) then it doesn't matter.
If only one side is chamfered, that side is oriented so the rotor rotates into the chamfer.
If only one side is chamfered, that side is oriented so the rotor rotates into the chamfer.

ok, sounds like it doesn't matter... one side has a longer amount of travel to the angle (yellow) versus the orange. Just double checking, the metal prong made me second guess after install cause i had it flipped on the drivers side.
