Lexus GS 350 or Buick Lacrosse
Hi,
During the past 3 months I was considering to buy a new car for myself. I set myself a certain budget no matter what year the car is as long as it's the right car. I have tried different cars , but the two cars in my mind are the Buick lacrosse 2012 or the Lexus GS 2008. I know that they are in two different years but that's because I found them at the same price (used of course). I have tried the two cars before, but I want to know some opinions and long term experience, since I can't decide.
So my question is, which car do you prefer, regardless of the price, but keep in mind the year, since the GS is 1 gen older.

What's the mileage difference? Any warranty left on the Buick? How long do you plan on keeping the car? What are you going to use the car for?
Those types of questions play a factor when deciding a car. The "domestic" manufacturers still aren't to the longevity factor of a Toyo/Lex in my opinion. They have gotten better at offering a better vehicle for the price up front, but if you're looking for a car that is going to last you can't go wrong with the 350. Even being a few years older I think if you parked them next to each other most people would prefer the Lex in terms of appearance.
If the Buick has a warranty and you aren't putting on a ton of mileage then that peace of mind might be a deciding factor.

This is a Lexus forum so I won't be completely bias with my opinion as I am really liking the path Buick is going with their design line-up.
Even though the GS is 2008 and the Lacrosse is 2012 given the fact that both vehicles was properly maintained I would say Lexus would be the better bang for your buck. There is a reason why the price is the same for one which is a generation older.
Good luck with your final decision.

Coworker just got a Buick last year, and it's been a maintenance pig. He had an Acura TL before, which he misses dearly. Lexus gets my vote. Hold out on the Buick for when you hit 70
