2006 GS300 Spark Plugs are Easy!
Decided to replace my spark plugs, but was told it was a big job on GS models. Lexus, Toyota, and two other shops quoted me $500-$600 and said it was a 4 hour job. I was able to change them in 30 minutes at home! The passenger's side was easy, after removing air intake. Driver's side was a little tight, but I only needed to unclip the wire harness to get access. I used a 12-inch socket extension to reach through any obstructions.

In theory, it's supposed to be a difficult job, which is why I visited four shops before doing it myself. EVERYBODY said that it takes 2 hours just to access the plugs. I'm wondering if the 2nd generation GS300 was more difficult? I'm posting this because I couldn't find anything online about it, although there are many threads on other models which claim to correspond to the 3rd gen. GS300. Maybe the shops follow more stringent protocols, by removing all wire harnesses and obstructions?
