Drip rail molding 'tape' peeled off - *Pics inside*
I figured I'd make this thread with some actual pictures of the 'tape' peeled off so people can see what's underneath. I'm dropping mine off at the paint shop tomorrow to get painted, but did all the prep myself to keep cost down. It was a real pain in the butt..heat gun and about an hour worth of peeling..then you have to remove the adhesive off the molding..

it actually doesn't look bad unpainted.
Let us know how the painting went. I think that is stainless steel, so it might be difficult to paint.
When you removed the strip, did you break all the clips?

Lead Lap
I know I might get crucified for saying this, but if you want to protect it for cheap, I'm sure you could get a color that's close enough in Plastidip, then just rattle can it. Looks kinda cool as is, but it'll probably weather a bit.

that stainless steel can be polished, so i wouldn't worry about getting weathered.
Just look at the Delorean
The problem with my drip rail is that it keeps popping up on one side near the back glass, and on the other side near the windshield
