if u can sell it for the price that u feel reasonable, i'd say SELL IT now. unless u plan to spend more $ later on to fix it and drive it until engine drop.

Does the car drive fine? If so leave it as is, drive it until youre ready for a new vehicle. I wouldnt let a dealerships inflated prices scare you or have you worried. Leaking shocks doesnt not mean they are totally useless same with a leaking cv axle boot.

I don't know why everybody hates on 06, is not as bad as you all might think. If you like it and it doesn't have major problems keep up maintenance, I just did my struts and brakes at 130k. It's just like any other car, you have to put money into it to keep it nice. And that's not a bad price.

Pulled the trigger and decided to fix it up. Paying a little bit more than I wanted ($1300 for all 4 struts (Lexus OEM) and Right axle replacement (after market) and an alignment) . I love this car and hopefully she'll be lasting me for years to come

I agree. There isn't anything wrong with the 06 and Toyota continues to use the engine in their home market. Besides that fact, I haven't need to do the customer service campaign to replace the pistons or do the carbon clean up. My hasn't had the oil consumption issues yet. ***Knocking on wood***

Hating on the '06 GS is sport on this forum. I have one myself and suffer from a horrible inferiority complex about it. I even hate on mine. Then I get mad for other people hating on it. Then, right before I wish for 1,000,000th time that I'd held out for a GS 350, my head explodes,
