White smoke from engine and exhaust?
Hi fellow CL members,
It was a rainy day and I was going to drive my GS300 2006. After starting the car and let it warm up for a bit I notice a decent amount of white smoke from my exhaust which at first I thought was due to the rainy weather (abt 28celcius in Thailand) but it doesn't feel normal. Shortly after I see it coming from the engine so I opened the hood to check. I also went for a short ride around the village and the white smoke still continues from both engine and exhaust
Its on the right side in between the engine and the battery
There is also something like a little boil from that joint
Does anyone know what is happening?
Thanks,
Sank

I'm not familiar with the GS but white smoke is usually water. Check coolant levels first. make sure its not too hot so as not to burn yourself. If it's low, be sure to check your oil for water/moisture.
If both are good, you could just have moisture burning off the engine/exhaust. Check for a leak.
But chances are it's just moisture burning off from his moisture/humidity levels from the climate.
If you did have a head gasket issue, there would be performance issues as well.

I tried starting the car again today and the white smoke now only comes from the engine. It also has a weird sweet smell. Hope it's not something bad Should I tow it to the shop instead of driving?
