Default Check VSC & car is not starting on 2007 Lexus GS 350

I let my 2007 Lexus GS 350 sit for 3 days. I start the car put it in drive & it rolls back and on the dash it reads BRAKE...but I had already released the brake. I cut the car off to try & reset the car now it doesn't start messages started appearing: Check VSC, P/S, Traction...the push to start goes to green: the radio plays, air blows hot, the brake is HARD. I tried replacing the gas cap, charged the battery, and got a jump. I had my mechanic take a look with the scanner & the car isn't reading any actual message. Any suggestions... I'm open... Please help!!!

It could be a couple different things. Can you hear the engine cranking when you press the start button?

If not the first thing you should check is the main fuse, that is the gray box next to the battery. Make sure all the contacts are intact.

If that checks out it could be the starter. If it is the starter the easiest Way to check is to lightly tap on the starter with a hammer while cranking and that will usually get it to work. Otherwise take out the starter and bench test it. Good luck

Sounds like a dead battery to me or a loose terminal, I would start by charge it and see if its still good.

Hello Defender 33, i have exactly the same problem that you have on 2008 GS 350 now, what did you do to fix yours ? I would definitely like to know what you did exactly. If could let me know so i won't have to spend unnecessary money taking this car to the dealership, even if i have to i would know exactly what the issue is already and not to be fixing what is not needed at the moment.

I had a similar incident 2 weeks ago, 07 gs350 112k miles. Ended up being a loose gas cap.

OK. i finally took my car to the lexus dealership to diagnose the car. so, i was told that i have failure to fuel pressure sensor and will need new battery. So the cost of fixing the fuel pressure sensor and labor is $ 1675 and the battery is $210. Any ideas of what to do since the bill is outrageous for me at the moment. Any suggestion?

Wow, that's steep! How much a fuel pump cost then? It's just a sensor FFS.

Angry In the same boat P1235

Good evening everyone,

I'm having the same issue with my 08 GS 350. A couple weeks ago it stalled out on me on the highway with the Check VSC light, CEL and all the other lights the original thread mentioned. I got her home and ran the codes and it was P1235. I checked the forums and figured it was the Fuel Pressure sensor.

I ordered the part on eBay for about $21 (Part number 89458-30010). It finally came today and I installed it. Took about 90 minutes start to finish. The car started right up with the same Check VSC and other lights and whistles on. I cleared the codes and allowed her to idle. Once I cleared the codes I hit the gas in neutral and she stalled out. The P1235 code returned. I cleared it again and the code returned again and the car stalled again. Im baffled at this point. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance...
