My recall was done at Lexus of Sacramento. Went in with just under 1/4 of a tank left. Car was returned with an empty tank and the low fuel light was on.

What'd they do, take it out to get Chinese for lunch? I'd be ripped.

Lexus of Tampa Bay filled it up without me asking, as it should be!

I would call corporate lexus and explain that situation. That is **** poor service brother. I would wager they billed Corp for gas on the work order for the recall..

I wish I had. Of course this was one of the first times I didn't record the mileage in and out too.

I would have never driven off. I did the same thing with the VVT or valve spring recall...they put some broken clips back on that holds all the plastic pieces under the hood...called the service manager out and he replaced them all himself...it's all about principal.

it would be easier to have a poll to see how many yes and no... my answer is a no. ever since I had a lexus I could care less about gas and gas prices... I should of bought a gs v-8 now that I think of it..

That's weird. Which dealer?

I wonder if this is just a dealer-initiated incentive (rather than corporate mandate) to get you to take your car to them.
After all, whichever dealer gets to do the recall gets paid.

On my last recall... I didn't get a full tank of gas but they did give me a complimentary full detail. Wash and hand waxed the car. Wash and reconditioned my interior.
