Is anybody getting their fuel filled at the dealer while this recall is getting done?

they bill Lexus corp for the fuel as part of the recall. It is not an individual shop choice, it is mandated by Lexus they fill the tank on recall work. I would call and ask why they didn't, especially after they told you they would. I'm sure they included fuel on their bill to Lexus.
Multiply that times the number of vehicles, 500 = $1800, 1000 = $3600, 10,000 = $36,000, etc. Times the number of different recalls they may have...... That IS the way to run a successful business both on the local level and corporate level. There's a life saying that I think applies here. "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth." But you are certainly entitled to your opinion.

I'm assuming you would sincerely like to understand my answer. So, Corporate has the expensive of gas X a guesstimate of 300,000 LS cars affected for several model years around the world. That's a lot of money subtracted from profit, there's a responsibility to owners and shareholders The gas is the gift horse, not the repair. Maybe the gift horse analogy wasn't used with your generation. Hope I've explained it well enough for you. Not trying to disrespect anyone's opinion.

Didn't fill mine, but they did wash it. And I have to admit, they did a really good job. No water spots, swirl marks or anything. I was able to just give it the old detailers mist a couple weeks later and it looks better than it has in years. I assume since it's a GS 300 the engine is clogged with carbon particles and is only going to last another 15K miles, but at least the finish looks good.

Had our GS serviced at Stevens Creek Lexus. Took them about 3.5 hours to complete the job. They filled the tank and washed it, which I couldn't be any happier due to the state-wide water restriction.

I like getting free stuff as much as the next guy and if he is, I do expect it as well, it's only fair.
