Default anyone here with 07 or 08 still on original panasonic battery?

Anyone still on the OEM battery, or have you all changed it out ?

Mine no longer cranks the car without a jump, but still holds a little over 12V.

Maybe I can power other stuff with this old battery

I'm still on OEM. Though, it discharged a couple of weeks ago after being garaged for nearly 3 months. Hooked up a battery conditioner/charger for 24 hours and it started back up just fine. Wife has been driving it since. So far, so good.

Mine is 2007 december. 110.000km .Never had any problem to start but the car sleeps inside and I use it every day.
I wait for starting problems before I change.

With your equip, you should have changed it out loooong ago . You should look into the Duracell AGMs, or other AGMs. Optima doesn't pose the same quality it did years ago .

FWIW, the Lexus batteries don't last very long, at least while you're in FL anyway. I swapped out my Lexus battery TWICE since ownership, after the 2nd battery (still in the garage, brand new), I swapped it out for a Optima YellowTop.

The original lasted 5 years in my '07. Its 84 month Lexus replacement lasted just under two, but was replaced free last year.

so your not liking your current optima? i had a yellow top but im thinking of going with a Redtop optima. if always used gell cell so imma try AGM instead of Gell this time.

They will pretty much last forever if you open them up every year and add distilled water so they remain close to the full mark. Just take a Phillips head screw driver (while wearing safety glasses) and unscrew the plugs in the top of the battery, then add distilled water to the full level in each cell (I use a large turkey baster ) then close it up and your good to go. The Panosonic battery is a very good high $$ battery and should last 10+ years if taken care of.

really? mine couldn't hold enough charge to start the car. It only sees local city driving nowadays, so it's not like I can drive 30 minutes to charge it up all the time.

I still wonder WTF is draining the battery so much. Nothing should be running except the alarm system.
