Default Looking at 2007-2011 GS. How to identify options?

I'm looking at 2007-2011 GS 350/450H/460. I can identify the Mark Levinson option by looking for the logo.

Is there a way to identify other options, such as:

Active Stabilizer Suspension System
Radar-based pre-collision system with an autonomous cruise control system system
Backup camera (do all with Nav have backup camera?)
Bluetooth

What other options should I be looking for?

For P.A.S.S. look in the trunk lift the trunk floor board and see if there is a spare tire or the active stabilizer system. Cars that came with "run flat" tire package have the p.a.s.s.

Radar cruise can be identified by the steering wheel. There will be a range changing lever close to where the cruise control lever is. There should be a small box on the front of the car that contains the laser.

Backup cam: I believe this is on all cars with nav. Look for the camera on the trunk. It will be a small black box offset next to the license plate lights. Or better yet put the car in reverse and see if the nav screen changes.

Bluetooth...I assume you are looking for bluetooth audio. Look for 2010 and above year models.

Other options...Well if you like to use "aux in" mp3 players look for 2010 and above year.

If you are looking for a cassette player (never know) these came on cars through 2009.

If you are looking for a 6spd transmission look at the GS350

If you are looking for an 8 spd transmission look at the GS460

If you are looking for an ECVT then GS450h is your car!

If you are looking for trunk space Do NOT get a gs450h. But if you decide to get one...find a 2009 and above as I believe the trunk is larger.

If you are looking for more then what I mentioned...look at the stickied 3gs faq thread. When read properly it provides a wealth of information so no one has to ask any questions. Good luck on your search!

Thanks! In terms of options, how would you rank them from most important to least important?

Also, P.A.S.S. is the same as A.S.S.S and A.P.S.S.S? If the car doesn't have a spare tire, it has this, correct?

Lastly, is Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) also an option or is it standard?

AVS is an option...just like everything else you are asking about...the button is on the arm rest console...AVS is not cheap to replace...so if you its not under warranty...be very thorough with your inspection...

Just so I understand, would you take a look at the GS 460 pics here? I don't see anything on the cruise control lever that would indicate that it has adaptive cruise control, but the description says it does.

What option does the Sport/Norm button indicate? Is this AVS?
Seems like AVS and A.S.S.S. are standard on the GS 460?

Also, looking at the options for 2008 GS 460, there are a few others. How are these identified:

Emergency communication system (what is this?)
Reverse sensing system (is this the same as rear camera?)
Rear window blind (what is this?)
Rain sensing wipers
Headlight cleaning

Sport/Norm button is AVS, it's standard on GS460's. This car does not have adaptive cruise, it looks like they just cut/pasted a description from somewhere else:

"Run-flat tires and rain-sensing wipers are also optional, and a combination of adaptive cruise control and a Pre-Collision System helps prevent accidents by controlling braking."

Emergency Communication is a little "SOS" button included in the ceiling console where the sunroof controls are. Rear window blind is a screen that shields the rear window from sunlight ( http://www.cars.com/crp/vp/images/13...nities_2up.jpg ), you can see the button for it on that little control panel that drops down to the left of the steering wheel. Rain sensing wipers is standard, you just put the wiper stalk to AUTO. Headlight cleaners are sprayers for the headlights, they should be standard on the GS460 (hard to see on this car but they're there).

Have you never seen one of these cars in person? Go find one and test drive it, the sales person can walk you through all of this.

One thing that hasn't been mentioned so far, the GS line didn't add bluetooth audio streaming until 2010. Before that, it's only hands free phone dialing.

As for production counts, most of the ones you see are 2008's:

GS460 Production #'s

2008 = 1,616 Units
2009 = 56 Units
2010 = 43 Units
2011 = ?
The GS460 was basically special-order-only from 2009-2011, when production ended. As such, the insurance is expensive (it costs more to insure this car than my FJ Cruiser, that drives on mountains, and my S2000 that drives around mountains).

If you have to get the V8, get a 2010+ as that's the best version of it. If price is an issue, go with a 350 instead. They're much more common and a good bit cheaper.

What is P.A.S.S.? Also are headlight wipers, or rain sensing wipers standard? I have a 07 gs350 and not sure if it has any of this, including adaptive cruise.
