2011 GS350 AWD over the '09 Acura TL?
I currently drive a '09 Acura TL and I had a '99 GS400 in the past. I plan to trade in my TL for the GS350 AWD and Im from Chicago with snowy winter and my TL didnt do a good job on the snow. Im looking for inputs from current GS350 AWD owners from the snowy region so please let me know how the GS350 AWD does in snow and rain.
I found a '11 silver GS350 AWD base mode in a decent shape, no Mark Levison and other fancy stuff at a Toyota dealer and they want $23,995 with 46,000 miles and the factory warranty is about to expire in 2 months.
I test drove the car and I did hear a rattling noise coming from the dash board, is it normal on the GS350?
Carfax Reports= 2 owners and no accident
What do u think of the price?
Please chime in
Thanks

The car is in good condition and just a base model no Mark Levinson
The rattling is not something that dealer can get there hand on? I can hear the rattling very clearly. We thought for the 40+ thousand dollars car would be in a near perfect shape, just a thought.

Yep...they pretty much have to take the dash out...some on here have stuffed felt in-between the dash and windshield to silence the rattles.
I've noticed that the price of these cars vary a lot region to region...me being in the south I can't speak on how the AWD version handles but I know the SH-AWD in the Acura is a marvel!

We picked up a 2011 black AWD last March in Minnesota. The car goes great in the snow. Just put on some Continental Extreme Contact DWS on the car and it is even better! Our local Lexus dealer pulled the dash apart and repaired the rattles. We love the car.

I bought an 08 gs350 awd last summer. This winter I bought a set of snow tires for peace of mind and so far the GS has been a beast in the snow but then again it could be attributed the the tires, the AWD system, my driving habits or a combination of all 3.

I too switched from an 09 TL to a 10 350 AWD. Def a good choice. As for the rattle yeah they are thre. I had one behind the dash, which they took apart the dash for and found a loose screw. Also thread from a while ago on the switch

My first mod will be wheels and tires then prolly axle exhaust cuz the factory exhaust looks so weak, tint the windows and maybe some LED DRL lights, fog lights ect...
I love the look of slamming the car but im from Chicago with a lot of snow and plenty of potholes so I will not lower her.
As for the wheels I wanna do 19x9.5 all around stock height, no fender roll with 255 40 19 tires but i couldnt find any answer to my question as wether doing 19x9.5 on the front will have any fitment issues so Im holding back purchasing the rims right now. I dont wanna doing 19x8.5 cuz of no concavity to it.
One CL vendor says 19x9.5 on the front will not fit on the GS350 after I was inquiring about wheels.
Im kinda disappointed to hear that
