Default Heavy Electrical Load...Battery Recommendations??

So I recently bought a red optima to replace my old stock Lexus battery a few months ago. At the time, I didn't think I needed more than just a basic battery for starting applications (hence redtop). Since then, I've managed to squeeze a lot of electronics into my car (sub + amp, and a lot of chargers) Now I realize I should have opted for a different battery, one with a higher electrical load capacity. According to the website, they don't make a yellow top for our cars.

Often times I'm detailing the car with the stereo on (usually stays on for an hour or so), and I also have daily adventures where I'm constantly charging my phone and vapes. My vapes have a pass-through function which allows me to use them while they're charging in the car. So sometimes I have the car on (engine off) for 15-20 min. at a time. I've already ran into problems where I have to jump and recharge the battery due to the high load. In face, it's happened twice already since I've had the battery

My question to all you guys with the butt load of electronics- which battery are you running? I'm looking for something that's a direct drop in replacement without modification. Thanks in advance!

Leave the car running...problem solved.

Not being funny but most people just have common sense and dont charge 10 things at once while blasting the radio for an hour with the car turned off.

haha well I'm not doing all those things at once. When I'm cleaning the car, only the stereo is on. Now that I think about it, it's probably not even an hour. More like 40 min. tops. Then about once or twice a day I'll hook up my vapes. I usually do only hook them up while the car is on, but every now and then I like to find a nice place to park somewhere and chill out for a few (without having any engine noise drawing attention).

Optima batteries are garbage now...they used to be good...but your problem is that this car has so many computers that come on in just acc mode alone that anything additional will drain the battery...im sure you are really working the alternator hard running the battery down and having to charge it and power the car....invest in a trickle charger or a charger with a maintain function...

Wow, your 2006 battery lasted nearly 10 years? I had to replace the stock battery in my GS after just 5 years.

a trickle charger sounds like a good option. I'll be sure to look into it. and my car is actually an '08 but yes, it lasted quite a while. I was surprised lol
