Default Switched HID bulbs side to side, now loud buzzing

I thought this was worthy of a separate thread. My left headlight has been going off periodically, so to confirm that it's the bulb, tonight I switched the bulbs from left to right/right to left.

The job went very smoothly. It took me about 20 minutes, but I took my time. I buttoned everything back up and turned on the lights. Both sides came on, but I immediately noticed a very loud buzzing/whining sound coming from both headlamps. It is very loud and I know I would have noticed it before at some point over the course of the last three years that I've owned the car. Obviously, this is not normal, but I can't for the life of me figure out what I could have done wrong, if anything.

Any ideas?

Aftermarket bulbs do that, it's a high pitched beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep noise, or bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz noise.

I'm unsure which one you picked up .

Are the lights working correctly? If they do then I'd just leave it be.

I should have been more clear. These are the factory stock bulbs that came with my car. I simply switch them from side to side. And yes, they seem to be working correctly. I just don't remember ever hearing this high-pitched buzz that I'm hearing now.

Did you make sure the connectors are seated correctly all the way

I'm pretty sure I did it right. I mean, would the lights work if the connectors weren't attached properly?
