Headlight tint yellowing headlights?
Before I get mocked incessantly, hear me out.
I have really bad yellowed headlights. I've had them restored before but they still look like crap. Has anyone tinted their headlights very lightly to hide this shame? (Either by film or spray)
Just a thought.

I haven't tinted, but aside from the normal wet sanding, polish, buffering procedure which restoring usually involves, maybe try Blue Magic? Autozone sells it. It's a blueish goop that you apply to the headlights. I bought it when my Maxima's headlights were getting that glazed over look and it worked like a charm. I then used it on my friends '99 VW Golf and it removed really bad hazing, making the car look completely different in the front. For $10 it's worth a shot in my opinion. Be generous with it though as the first couple of times I used it on my Maxima, I kinda went a little skimpy on it and then I was fed up with the haze not disappearing so I spread that crap like mayonnaise on the headlights and it cleared them up without giving any hint of hazing. Use a microfiber cloth. You may want to do it twice to each headlight.
Cheaper than getting them tinted and worth your while, especially if you hand wash your own car it's worth the extra step. Hope this helps. Good luck!
