Just call your local dealer and when they pull your car up it should alert them that you have an outstanding recall.

i never received notification of the recall from Lexus...then again...I've only owned the car since the first of January. I did however register the car in my name on the Lexus site and with my local Lexus dealer..so hopefully I'm notified on future issues.

I dropped my car off with 6 miles left to the tank and they filled it up for me. I get 3 MPG more than what I was getting before the recall.

They also let me pick what loaner I wanted. Opted for the RX350 because I'm trying to convince my wife into getting one. I think it did the job because we are planning on getting one in Nov.

Hello Folks, I just bought a car 2 days ago. Actually, before buying the car I actually sent an email to Lexus dealer to check if there's any pending recall for my vehicle. I've gave the VIN and they are able booked an appointment for me to do Fuel pressure sensor gasket. So far, I'm please how Lexus doing their job. I actually fell in love with this car the first time I saw it.

Hey everyone,

I took my car to the dealer in FL to perform this recall. I got a loaner but they did not fill up my car when it was done. I mentioned my truck button (rubber piece) started to melt and the dealer said I did not have any warranty for something like that. I called Lexus Customer Service and they gave me a $250 credit to get it fixed at any dealer.

Do you have an extended warranty? That's how I got mine replaced for free. As far as the refueling of these cars they seem to be hit or miss with certain dealerships...

Got my letter to bring the car to the dealer for the recall! I'll probably get it done once the weather is warmer. Hopefully this time they won't give me an ES like every other time..

I think they put the fuel cost on the reimbursement from corporate Lexus. That would be really shady if they were not fueling cars and sending Lexus the bill for reimbursement

if you're unsure, ask the service rep if they will fill your gas tank before you let them work on the car.
I always ask.

i've gotten a gas fillup for every lexus recall work so far (i think 5 and counting between two cars).

the dealership forgot to fill it up once. i mentioned it my service adviser before i drove off the lot, and they immediately had someone take the car to fill up the gas.

I just got a call today that the parts are back in stock for this fuel sensor and gasket replacement recall. Does anyone know how involved this recall is? I just hate when I have to trust the dealership to rip my car apart.

They only replace the gasket, not the sensor itself. It is not that involved. Sensor is in area of engine closest to firewall about center of windshield. they have done enough of these that an experienced mechanic can do it in an hour. It can be done with just removing the throttle body and reaching back there if you know what you are looking for.

For any California Owned cars under this ELF recall it is mandatory to get it done prior to renewing your car registration.

Lexus will provide Recall Paper work for completion and this has to be submitted by mail with your vehicle registration.. What a pain the the ****.

Just an FYI.

No it cannot be done by removing just the throttle body. The intake must be removed to install the SST to properly torque the sensor down. Mechanics can not do this either, only technicians
